On top of its outstanding academic support, independent colleges provide comprehensive student care that is comparable to those provided by boarding schools. Independent colleges invest enormous amount in teaching quality and facilities. Student support is individual and widely sufficient. Some colleges provide unlimited hours of extra tutorials and there are weekly quizzes to monitor student progress, ensuring a high standard in academic work. The majority of independent colleges provide student halls of residence. If preferred, students can also live with a host family.
