Undergraduate Year One in Top 30 UK universities normally require 443 to 555 in HKDSE, with a stronger emphasis on Elective subjects. It’s normally not essential for students to obtain specified grades in Core subjects like Chinese or English, meaning that students with strong Elective grades will have more advantages – even if they fall short of obtaining Level 3 in their Chinese or English, they still stand a very good chance with their applications! Students meeting the requirement can directly progress onto Undergraduate Year One, while those who fall short can take pathway courses such as International Year One (progress onto Year 2 of a degree after one year) and University Foundation Courses (progress onto Year 1 of a degree after one year).

Get a taste of the UAL way of learning and upgrade your portfolio in just 2-10 weeks’ time! Co-organised by University of the Arts London (UAL) and London Arts Portfolio Academy (LAPA), Rory Mooney (Lecturer and Design Tutor for Fashion from Central Saint Martins) will once again be back in Hong Kong to deliver the Central Saint Martins Portfolio Summer Course – complete the course with satisfactory result for a Certificate of Attendance from Central Saint Martins! Students may also go for the Art & Design Portfolio Preparation Courses run by LAPA, to complete multiple projects within just one summer.

The Central Saint Martins Portfolio Summer Course and LAPA’s Art & Design Portfolio Preparation Courses aim at bringing University of the Arts London’s teaching model to Hong Kong, allowing students to experience the learning approach from Britain’s world-leading art university.

Structured in two-week blocks, students will focus on completing one project every two weeks. Following a Project-based Learning approach, students will enjoy a high degree of creative autonomy and are free to do what they want under the guidance of Rory Mooney, Lecturer and Design Tutor for Fashion from Central Saint Martins (CSM), and tutors from London Arts Portfolio Academy (LAPA).

Teaching is delivered primarily through hands-on workshops, where students are expect to get their hands dirty as they explore and develop their ideas, work on drawing and creative skills, and do visual research and creative experiments. They will also learn to document their creative process and reflection, in a way approved by top art schools.

Students can join multiple sessions during the summer holiday, to explore a range of Art & Design mediums and specialisms, and complete multiple projects good enough to be included in the their Art & Design portfolios.

Multi-Activity: Students will choose two extracurricular activities every week to explore new hobbies and experiences! The available activities are gym & fitness, badminton, handcraft, animal care, survival skills, table tennis, volleyball, yoga, swimming, British sports, etc.

“Progressive Skills in Action”: Develop essential soft skills like critical thinking and communication skills through various interdisciplinary activities (Examples: Climate change awareness exhibitions, Creating a TV news & weather video, Designing a new boardgame). Local students of Whitgift School will also be back to school and join international students for these activities!

Beyond the university rankings, this year The Times also published a special report on graduate career prospects, offering an in-depth comparison of local UK student’s salaries at the start of their careers and ten years after graduation across various disciplines. The findings reveal that subjects emphasizing technical expertise and problem-solving skills tend to see more significant salary growth over the decade. With a long history of art education that can be traced as far back to 1854, University of the Arts London (UAL) adopted its current name and form as a university in 2003. Including an Introductory phase (lasting three months) and an Advanced phase (five months), the Foundation in Art & Design is an eight-month course for senior secondary school students who want to just focus on Art & Design. You can apply to University of the Arts London (UAL) or Art & Design degrees in other UK universities upon completion. Starts in August and November every year. Taught in English. Open to F.5 and F.6 students.

Get a taste of the CSM way of learning and upgrade your portfolio in just two weeks’ time! Taught together by a UAL tutor from London and local UAL-grad tutors, the Summer Course is taught in hands-on workshops, where students are expect to get their hands dirty as they explore and develop their ideas, work on drawing and creative skills, and do visual research and creative experiments. Target Undergraduate Degree Graduates

This year, the “Scholarships for Women” scholarships programme will cover the following postgraduate programmes in University of Bristol:

MSc Accounting & Finance Typically open to graduates from Accounting & Finance only
MSc Business Analytics Open to graduates from Operational Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Biomedical and Life Sciences
MSc East Asian Development & the Global Economy Open to graduates from any academic disciplines
MSc Economics Open to graduates from Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Sciences, Data Science, Finance, Computer Science or Physics
MSc Economics with Data Science Open to graduates from quantitative-based subjects like Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or Physics
MSc Education (Leadership & Policy) Designed for professionals with some experience in education as a teacher, administrator, university lecturer, or early-years practitioner
MSc Finance & Investment Primarily open to graduates from Finance, Economics, Computing, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics
MSc Financial Technology Primarily open to graduates from Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics or Physics
MSc Gender & International Relations Open to graduates from any academic disciplines
MSc International Relations Open to graduates from any academic disciplines
MSc International Security Open to graduates from any academic disciplines
LLM Law – Health, Law & Society Primarily open to law graduates, as well as non-law graduates from related disciplines like History, Philosophy, Policy Studies, Politics or Sociology. Graduates with a Health Care or Health Science (such as Medicine and Nursing) background will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
LLM Law, Environment, Sustainability & Business Primarily open to law graduates, as well as non-law graduates from related disciplines like Politics & International Relations, Economics, Business, Human Geography, Sociology or Anthropology
LLM Law, Innovation & Technology Primarily open to law graduates, as well as non-law graduates from related disciplines like Computer Science, Data Science, Management, Economics, Philosophy or Policy Studies
MSc Society, Politics & Climate Change Open to graduates from any academic disciplines

What will be covered by the Scholarship?

The “Scholarships for Women” scholarships programme covers the full costs associated with your study, including:

Full tuition fees
Up to 12-month monthly stipend at the rate of £1,603 per month to cover costs of living, including accommodation
IELTS exam fee
Return economy class travel from Hong Kong to UK
Study-related costs, such as essential travel, materials, equipment and thesis printing
Student visa, and insurance / NHS surcharge
Reasonable adjustments costs for scholars with disabilities

Application & Deadline

Deadline of applications for the Scholarships has been extended to Wednesday 7^th May 2025. Students are required to submit their course application, their scholarship application and other required documents by the deadline.
