Located just north of London, University of Hertfordshire is a modern university granted full university status in 1992. It’s known for its New Media Arts, Aerospace Engineering, Physiotherapy, Radiography and other Allied Health subjects. In 2026/27 academic year, the University will open its own Medical School, which will be open to international students.
Based in Hatfield, the historic centre of British aviation manufacturing, the Faculty of Engineering provides a wide range of options in the area which include Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Technology, etc. Some of these incorporate Pilot studies programmes that offer as many as 400 hours of flying practices, enabling students to qualify for the National Private Pilot’s License when they graduate. Alumni of University of Hertfordshire are widely employed by leading manufacturers in the field such as BAE Systems (one of the world’s largest defense and aerospace manufacturer), Rolls-Royce (the world’s second largest airplance engine manufacturer) and include Frank Ogilvie the deputy chief designer of the Airbus A380.
In Creative Arts, University of Hertfordshire was named the 14th best Creative Media & Entertainment School in the world by the Rookies (an international award for new creative talents), as well as the 32nd best animation school in the world by Animation Career Review. Students of the School of Creative Arts are offered a wide range of options that include Animation, Digital Media Arts, Special Effects, Music Technology, as well as other more common options such as Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Photography and more!
