學校簡介

University of Hertfordshire 位於倫敦以北，於 1992 年正式由一所理工學院「升格」成為大學，在新興藝術媒體、飛機工程、物理治療及醫療相關學科等範疇有出色表現。University of Hertfordshire 的工程學院設於英國飛機工程發源地 Hatfield，提供多個飛機工程、太空科技相關的學位課程，部份課程更包括 400 小時的飛行訓練，合資格學生畢業後能同時取得英國私人機師執照（National Private Pilot’s License）。大學的畢業生廣泛受僱於英國飛機工程界的大型企業中，如 BAE Systems（全球最大的國防及航天科技製造商之一）、Rolls-Royce（全球第二大的飛機引擎製造商）等，知名畢業生更包括空中巴士 A380 的副總設計師 Frank Ogilvie。

University of Hertfordshire 的藝術學院專注於新興藝術媒體，課程選擇包括動畫製作、數碼媒體（Digital Media Arts）、視覺特技、音樂科技，以及其他常見的藝術科目，如時裝設計、平面設計、攝影等。2023 年 University of Hertfordshire 獲國際新秀創作人大賞「The Rookies」選為全球最佳第 28 位的創意媒體學院，同時於 2D 動畫、遊戲設計及開發（Game Design & Development）、概念圖樣及插畫（Concept Art & Illustration）三個組別獲選為表現最佳院校之一。

準備大學階段升學預算的注意事項

  • 學費：英國大學學費一般以學系，或以「課室授課（Classroom-based）」和「實驗室授課（Lab-based）」劃分。為提供簡便的初步預算參考，上表的學費資料以「文商科」和「理工科」劃分。文商科因為大多數在課室上課，學費通常較在實驗室上課的理工科低。醫科、牙科及獸醫課程的學費通常較高，敬請聯絡升學顧問索取相關預算資料。
  • 住宿費：英國大學宿舍的房間選擇眾多，通常設有雙人房、單人房（不連浴室）、單人套房（連浴室）等選擇。學士階段的宿舍合約長度一般為 39-42 周，碩士階段的則為 50-52 周。費用不包括膳食。
  • 材料費：建築系、藝術及設計系學生在創作時或需自行購買材料，材料費會因實際需要而有所不同。
