Abbey College Cambridge, therefore, offers a Pre-Degree Diploma to provide extra learning and application support to help make it happen.
Mirroring London’s character, DLD College London is the most multicultural campus with students coming from over 50 countries and regions. It also offers the widest range of subject choices in GCE A-levels and foundation pathways, making sure that there is something for everyone even with such a diverse student body.
Last but not least, Abbey College Manchester has the largest number of British students and a range of flexible courses. And with such as a strong football and sports culture in the city of Manchester, there is also an in-house Football Academy, Cycling Academy and Tennis Academy, through which students enjoy regular training at an advanced level alongside their usual timetable.
Medicine Preparation & Pre-Degree Diploma in Abbey College Cambridge
All Year 13 students at Abbey College Cambridge take part in the Pre-Degree Diploma alongside their studies. This programme provides students with dedicated time and support to prepare their university application and encourages them to gain a deeper level of knowledge and skills in the areas that they are interested in studying at university, helping their application stand out amongst the crowd.
In addition to this, students hoping to study Medicine or at Oxbridge can also take part in specialist preparation through the Medicine Preparation Programme & Oxbridge Candidate Programme.

Extra Support under the Medicine Preparation Programme include:
- Carefully designed medicine preparation curriculum (such as Introduction to UK medical training and working as a doctor in the UK, etc)
- Specialist support in securing clinical shadowing and volunteer work
- Medical school personal statement workshop
- Medicine degree application support, both via UCAS and direct application routes
- UCAT preparation support
- Interview preparation support
- Additional English support
- Extra study skills training (such as research, presentation skills, etc)
- Receiving talks from medical schools
100% Medicine Admissions Success
In the class of 2025, all of the students in the Medicine Preparation programme were able to secure a medical school offer. Among the twelve students in the programme, they’ve secured a total of 26 conditional offers – meaning that the programme was successful in helping students meet the tough requirements on personal statement, medical school interview, work experience, etc!
In the past two years (2024-2025), students from Abbey College Cambridge achieved impressive GCE A-levels A*-B rates that ranged from 76% to 80% and are most outstanding in Mathematics and Sciences. The majority of the A-levels subjects taught in Cambridge are facilitating subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, English Literature, etc, alongside a small option of more practical subjects, such as Business Studies, Art & Design.
