Boarding School Seminar
When people mention British boarding schools, they usually refer to independent schools in the UK that come with boarding provision, of which there are over 400 across the country. Many of these schools have histories of over a hundred, or sometimes hundreds of years. Inheriting a long tradition on whole person education, they aim to cultivate highly valuable qualities such as sense of duty, self-discipline, taste, resilience and perseverance through sports, music and arts, extracurricular activities and a structured boarding life. Such is a environment that enables students to develop independence while learning to be part of a team and a community, making it ideal for students lucky enough to have the opportunities to study abroad in their secondary, or event primary school years.
In the seminar, our education consultants will draw on their own study abroad experience and introduce the unique advantages and culture of British boarding schools. The seminar is suitable for parents of primary and secondary school students and students themselves.

Progression to Professional Degrees – Almost Guaranteed! 33% of independent school students achieve AAA+ in A-levels – good enough for any professional degrees! This also means that it’s at least 3.5 times more likely to get the equivalent grades in A-levels than in HKDSE! While the stats suggest an easier way forward, it’s still crucial for students to work hard, for there are other difficulties to overcome studying in a new environment. What usually are these difficulties? And what subject combination may bring extra advantages to Hong Kong students in public exams?
Returning to Hong Kong universities for Medicine, Law and other professional degrees: How difficult is it going to be? A brief analysis of Non-Jupas admission data
Introducing Regional Boarding Schools Well-Loved by Local Families Across the UK, there are many very good boarding schools that are household names among local middle‑class families, but yet as well-known internationally. Many of them are big schools with 500 to 1,000 students, with just a small capacity for new boarders each year. These schools tend to be more low-profile and only recruit international students through agencies like us, often off the radar of families doing their own search!
Student Stories Sharing: Many students who applied to Boarding School through us have already graduated from university and are now working adults! Our Education Consultants will share some of these stories, especially on the changes before and after students’ study abroad experiences, and the give and take during their school selection process.
The Application Procedures: What should you consider when selecting a boarding school? What criteria are used when boarding schools select students? Is it necessary to sit boarding school entrance exams (such as
UKiset) in advance?

Official Test Centre of Boarding School Entrance Tests
We’re the official test centre of boarding school entrance tests like UKiset. While UKiSet is sometimes one of the entry requirements of some boarding schools, completing the test doesn’t guarantee exemption from a school’s entrance test. Our education consultants will advise you on whether it’s necessary to take the test.
