University of Westminster is located in the heart of London and is formerly the Royal Polytechnic Institution, which was founded in 1838 and was Britain’s first polytechnic institution. The University was officially granted university status in 1992. Today it remains the choice of many in London for continuing education.

Architecture, Journalism, Fashion Design and other Art & Design subjects are among its strongest subjects. It was consistently ranked among top 40 for Journalism globally (QS 2018-2020) – and made it to the 31st in 2020! The School of Architecture was also voted the second best by practising architects in Architects’ Journal (2013). With its long history of teaching, alumni of University of Westminster is spread across different sectors, especially the architecture, art & design as well as the media – many of them are people awarded the Order of the British Empire for their contribution to their professions.
