Set in the creative city of Bristol, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) was formerly a polytechnic and was granted full university status in 1992. Employability remains at the heart of UWE Bristol’s education. The already tight relationships with employers continue to foster, which now include formal links with the BBC, Airbus, etc.

UWE Bristol provides academic programmes in as many as 37 disciplines, among which Building & Surveying, Architecture, Town Planning and Art & Design are the strongest. Medical-related subjects like Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Nursing are all open to international students.

UWE’s Bristol School of Animation enjoys a worldwide reputation. Chris Ford, creative director of PIXAR, is also one of UWE Bristol’s graduates!
