Set in a city campus within the city of Liverpool, which is known for many in the world for music of the Beatles and its football club, University of Liverpool is a Russell Group research-led university now ranked the 176th in the world (THE 2023), the 33rd in the UK. The University is strong in medical-related subjects, sciences and the humanities, in which Physiotherapy, Radiography, Architecture and Town Planning are among its strongest! An advocate of interdisciplinary learning, University of Liverpool has introduced the ‘Honours Select’ system, which allows students the flexibility to choose from studying a single-honours degree programme (meaning devoting 100% of your time to one discipline), a major/minor (75%/25%) programme and a dual-honours (50%/50%) programme. The ‘Honours Select’ system now covers disciplines such as Archaeology, Business Studies, Communication & Media, Criminology, Economics, English, History, Law, Music, Philosophy, Politics & International Relations, Sociology and more! Notable alumni include nine Nobel laureates, Tung Chin Wah (former Chief Executive of Hong Kong) and Anson Chan (former Chief Secretary of Hong Kong).
