University of Leicester

Ranked the 192^nd globally (THE 2026) and the 28^th in the UK, the University of Leicester is famous for its achievements in Forensic Science, Archaeology, Media & Communication, Engineering and Space Technology. It also provides the flexibility with Major/Minor degree options, which enables students to concentrate on a subject area as the major subject, while broadening knowledge with a Minor subject. University of Leicester has put great efforts into science and technology over time. It’s home to the largest space research centre among all European universities. The Department of Physics and Astronomy has participated in the PanCam research project under European Space Agency (ESA)’s ExoMars programme. A new National Space Park is also due to open in first half of 2021. DNA Fingerprinting technology was also discovered by one of the professors in University of Leicester!
