University of Kent

Ranked the 56^th in the UK, University of Kent enjoys a 300-acre campus in the historic city of Canterbury in the south east of England, which is just an hour away from London on a train. One of the few collegiate universities in the UK, students in University of Kent are attached to one of its six colleges, enjoying a more vibrant social life. In terms of academic subjects, University of Kent is highly rated by the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) for Architecture, Law, Philosophy, Drama & Performing Arts, Film Studies and a few more subjects. Apart from these, Biomedical Science, Computer Science, Teacher Training, Cultural Studies programmes are all strong areas. Recent developments include a new medical school in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University, which opened in 2020/21. As one of the few teacher training programmes at undergraduate level, the BSc (Hons) Mathematics with Secondary Education (QTS) in University of Kent allows students to graduate with qualified teacher status (QTS). Biomedical Science – with accreditation by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) – can lead to professional qualifications as a Biomedical Scientist ^{(known as Medical Laboratory Technician in Hong Kong)} in the UK and in Hong Kong.
