University of East London was granted full university status in 1992 and is strong in sports-related subjects. Many of its students are sportsmen in Team GB, representing the UK in Rio Olympic 2016. They include Adam Gemili (sprinting), Aimee Willmott (swimming), Lawrence Okolie (boxing) and more! Set next to London City Airport, the Dockside Campus enjoys high-standard sports facilities that cost £21 million to build – which is so good that the TeamUSA has made it their training base for the 2012 London Olympics! In term of programme options, students have a wide range of options including Sports Science, Sports Therapy, Sports Journalism and more. What’s more? Students interested in medical-related subjects may find University of East London a good option, as its Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry programmes are all open for applications from international students.
