Staffordshire University

Staffordshire University is a university with its main campus in the Midland city of Stoke-on-Trent, which is just 45-60 minutes away from Birmingham and Manchester on a train. Formerly a polytechnic with over 100 years of history, it’s granted university status in 1992 and is known for its excellence in creative and innovative subjects. In 2021, it’s rated the 13^th in the world for Games Development and the 37^th in the world for Creative Media by the Rookies (an international award for new creative talents). Building on such solid foundation, the University also started a pioneering E-sports degree in 2019/20, with bespoke facilities in London. Other than creative subjects, Staffordshire University is also one of the few universities that accept international students for Nursing. Notable alumni include many British artists and footballers – these include designer Arnold Machin, who was responsible for creating the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on British coins and stamps!
