St Mary’s University, Twickenham

First established as a teacher training school in 1850 and later granted full university status in 2014, St Mary’s University, Twickenham is one of the few campus-based universities in London. The university is strongest in Teacher Training (including PE teachers), as well as Psychology, Nutrition and Sport-related subjects. St Mary’s University, Twickenham is the education choice of many British sport players and even offers a collaborative programme with Chelsea FC Foundation! In the area of Medical Sciences, St Mary’s University, Twickenham offers Physiotherapy, Nutrition, as well as Sport Rehabilitation. The University will also officially open its Medical School in the 2026/27 academic year, with its new five-year Medicine programme accepting international students only in the initial years.
