St Mary’s School Cambridge is a catholic girls’ day and boarding school in the city centre of Cambridge, right next to the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Academic standard is high, with almost 50% of teachers educated in Oxbridge, while creative arts is another strong area. Benefiting from being in a world-class university city, St Mary’s Cambridge collaborates with University of Cambridge in projects big and small – these include sports facilities developed in partnership with Homerton College, as well as links with the University’s STEM department. Performance in public exams is consistently outstanding, with A-levels A*-B rates at 73% to 77% in the past two years (2025-2026). Many from the class of 2026 were able to progress to University of Cambridge, St Andrews, Durham University, London School of Economics (LSE), University College London (UCL) to read subjects as varied as Chemistry, Computer Science, History, Law, Pharmacy and Theatre Studies. Among many St Mary’s Cambridge’s Hong Kong alumni include a young solicitor who was named one of the 30 Hong Kong Rising Stars by Asian Legal Business in 2023, as well as a multimedia journalist for Bloomberg and SCMP.
