St Francis’ College

St Francis’ College is a girls’ day and boarding school in Letchworth Garden City, in the south of England. The College has consistently performed well in public exams, which put it within the top 100-150 independent schools in the UK. Music, performing and visual arts are all focuses in St Francis’ College. The majority of students at St Francis’ College come from professional families from the local community, while boarders from different part of the world make up about 12% of student population.

Every year, about 25 students graduate from St Francis’ College, progressing to a wide range of programmes in different universities. Among these, Medicine, Architecture and Art & Design courses are the more popular options. In the past four years (2018-2021), a total of eight graduates gained entry into Oxbridge, eight into Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, while as many as 17 went on to study Architecture and Art & Design – in which five of them made it to top art schools under the University of the Arts London, including Central St Martins! As a whole, over 50% of students would read Sciences in university.
