Sidcot School

Sidcot School is a day and boarding school in countryside Somerset, just 30 minutes away from Bristol. Feedback from students and parents have been highly positive, and they’re particularly fond of the care and support shown by teachers and staff. Its campus of 170 acres ^{(about 3.5 times the size of Hong Kong’s Victoria Park)} is well equipped and comes with its own Equestrian Centre. On admissions, Sidcot School is largely non-selective and welcomes boarders from Year 7 onwards. Students will have the option of GCE A-levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Sixth Form – with 20% students going for the IB usually. On top of standard British curriculum, there is the option of One-Year GCSE, which is suitable for Hong Kong students planning to start school in the UK after F.4.

In terms of public exam results, in 2025 the overall A*-B rate in A-levels was at 55%, while the average IB score was 33. Top students from the class were able to achieve A*A*AA and 43 points in A-levels and IBDP respectively, with one student securing a place at University of Cambridge and two at medical schools. Over the years, students from Sidcot School have gone on to study a wide range of subjects in universities across the UK. Popular destinations include University of Reading, Cardiff University, UWE Bristol, etc. Typically there are 1-2 Oxbridge students every year and a good number of Art & Design students – including one making it to Central St Martins in 2022! Usually about 10% of graduates would continue their education in international universities, including those in the US and Europe.
