Shrewsbury School is a boarding school with over 460 years of history, situated in the West of England. It’s one of the first nine public schools in the UK and was originally a boys’ school, which first admitted girls in 2008 and has now become fully co-educational. It currently educates about 820 students, of which about 400 are sixth-formers (Year 12-13). Performance in public exams has been outstanding. In the five years before the pandemic (2015-2019) A*-B rates of GCE A-levels were between 68% to 86% and it’s maintained at 72% in 2023.
