Sherborne School is a traditional boys’ boarding school with close to 500 years of history, located in the historical town of Sherborne in Dorset. Academic standard in Sherborne School is outstanding and it’s always been popular among students from top schools in Hong Kong. The overall A*-B rates in A-levels were between 63% to 72% in the past two years (2024-2025). In the class of 2025, about 1/6 were able to obtain straight A*-A and six students were admitted to University of Oxford and University of Cambridge. Other popular university destinations include University of Exeter, Oxford Brookes University, Newcastle University, Northumbria University and Durham University. BU student Matthew Wong also won the prestigious John Locke Global Essay Prize in the law category!
Further enhancing the strong tie between Sherborne School and its friendly neighbour Sherborne School for Girls, the charitable trusts behind two schools will officially merge into one charity in the 2024/25 academic year. Apart from the many joint-school activities that are already going on, students can expect to see more and more opportunities in co-curricular and academic enrichment activities!
