Richard Huish College Virtual Admissions Talk

Richard Huish College is a State Boarding School located in the town of Taunton in the South West of England. It was previously one of the few sixth form colleges that accept international students, and has always been very popular among Hong Kong students for its outstanding academic results. However, since its transition into a State Boarding School in the 2022/23 academic year, Richard Huish College is now only open to students with British Citizenship, the BN(O) visa, or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme.

Academic Excellence: 32.4% of Richard Huish Graduates Achieving First Class Honours at University

Richard Huish College is consistently ranked among the top 20-30 state sixth form colleges in the UK, and was ranked the 44^th in 2024 (Sunday Times 2024). The class of 2025 achieved the best A-level results in the College’s history, with over 62% of grades at A*-B and 103 students (over 10% of the cohort) achieving A*-A in three or more subjects. The cohort also produced four Oxbridge students, as well as 11 successful applicants to Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Beyond A-level success, Richard Huish College students continue to excel at university. According to the latest government data (2022/23), 32.4% of Richard Huish graduates achieved first class honours for their degrees – a performance even slightly better than students from independent schools (31.8%).
