Reed’s School (Registration Deadline for Year 7 & Year 9)

Reed’s School is a large, academic boys’ boarding school in Cobham, Surrey. Since its establishment in 1815, members of the royal family have served as royal patrons, including Queen Elizabeth II who was the royal patron during her reign and visited three times! Currently there are about 700 students in Reed’s School, which also accepts day and boarding girls for sixth form. Students at Reed’s School have consistently achieved outstanding results in public exams. In the past two years (2023-2024), A*-B rates in A-levels were between 86% to 88%. In the class of 2023, four graduates were able to progress to Oxbridge and one to medical school. Typical university destinations include Durham University, University of Bath, University of Nottingham, etc, while every year a small number would continue their education in the US. Notable alumni include Prince Zeid Raad Al Hussein and Prince Mired Raad Al Hussein from Jordan, British actor Tom Hardy, as well as British lawyer (King’s Counsel) Stuart Popham.

Application & Exam Arrangement

Reed’s School mainly accepts boarding students into the year groups listed below. Applicants are required to complete their registrations before the deadlines, in accordance to their year groups. Eligible applicants will be invited to sit an entrance exam and an admission interview.

• Year 7: Registrations close on 17/10 (Thursday)
• Year 9: Applications are now closed for 2025/26. Students interested in enrolling for 2027/28 should complete their registrations by 17/10 (Thursday)
• Year 12: Registrations close on 4/10 (Friday)
