Pocklington School is a historical all-through boarding school in Yorkshire, which celebrated its 500th anniversary in 2014. Over its history that spans centuries, Pocklington School has educated numerous notable alumni, which also include Mark Fisher who designed the spectacular opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics games in Beijing. Boarding fees are comparatively economical at today’s standard. The majority of students came from local families of mostly white ethnicity, and are often praised for their discipline and academic achievements! A*-B rates in GCE A-levels were at 65% in the past two years (2023-2024). Many graduates would continue their education in universities in the North. Typical destinations include Newcastle University, Northumbria University, University of Nottingham and the like.
