Oxford Brookes University

Set in Oxfordshire, Oxford Brookes University is one of the polytechnics that were granted university status in 1992. The university is most famous for subjects such as Tourism & Hospitality Management, Building & Surveying and Architecture. The University accepts international students to its Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Nursing and Social Work degrees. The Nursing department of Oxford Brookes University works in parternship with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, as well as other NHS hospitals in the area.

The world-renowned hospitality school of Oxford Brookes University was named the 29^th best Hospitality & Tourism schools in the world (QS 2026). It’s also one that puts strong emphasis on hands-on experience. Only offering one four-year programme in undergraduate, year two students on the programme go through a placement year on compulsory paid placement schemes in the UK or other places in the world. In the past, students have done placement in international hotel chains such as Marriott and Hilton, while some have also worked with BAFTA, gaining experience in more of a festival management context.
