Located in central Norwich, East of England, Norwich University of the Arts was granted university status in 2012 and is now one of UK’s five specialist art universities. While traditionally known for Fine Art, the University is also running forward-looking digital media programmes on VFX, User Experience Design, Games Art and Design:
Employability is at the heart of teaching in Norwich University of the Arts. Many programmes of Norwich University of the Arts are accredited by Creative Skillset, meaning that they are recognized by industry for providing exceptional training for work-ready graduates. Starting from Year 2 of an undergraduate degree, students will have the opportunities for work placement and work on industry live briefs. They are also encouraged to submit their work to open competitions.
In the past Norwich University of the Arts wasn’t as active in international recruitment as other UK universities. The majority of its students are British and only 10% come from overseas. Notable alumni include Stuart Craig (Production Designer on Harry Potter film series), Brian Bolland (Graphic Novel Artist on Batman comics) and Keith Chapman (Creator of Bob the Builder).
