Located in the city of Newcastle, Northumbria University is one of the universities that are more willing to accept sub-degree graduates into Year 2 and Year 3 of undergraduate degrees. The University is particularly strong in Architecture and Design. Many of Northumbria’s alumni hold senior and top positions in the creative and cultural industries, including Jonathan Ive (Chief Design Officer at Apple – the principal designer of iMac, iPad and iPhone), Jamie Roberts (Creative Director at Apple), designer Jason M. Holland (Creative Director of multimedia advertising agency THE CRM Agency) and many more! Among its vast portfolio of design programmes, Graphics Design, Design for Industry/Industrial Design and Interior Design are especially worth the attention of design students.
