Leeds Conservatoire

Established in 1965, Leeds Conservatoire is a member of Conservatoires UK together with eleven specialist music conservatoires in the UK (including Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music). Students can study Classical, Jazz, Pop, Music Production, Acting and Musical Theatre from undergraduate to postgraduate level, or as short courses. As a specialist music conservatoire, Leeds Conservatoire has a strong focus on performance training, and is a very good option for students who want to be directly involved in performance and production, front stage or back stage.

Leeds Conservatoire is home to The Venue – an important 350-seat venue in the local music scene. Musicians such as Jamie Cullum, Amy Winehouse, Stacey Kent and the others have performed in the Venue, while the BBC and local music festivals are also frequent users.
