Gower College Swansea

Gower College Swansea is a state college in the coastal city of Swansea, South Wales, currently teaching about 1200 students (including about 90 international students). In 2024, the overall A*-B rate in GCE A-levels was at 60%. Gower College Swansea has extra support for high-achieving students for their medical school and Oxbridge applications, and every year sees about a handful of graduates continuing their academic pursuit in University of Oxford and University of Cambridge – in 2024 there were six Oxbridge students in total! Gower College Swansea is also a participating institution and the only teaching centre in Wales for the University of Cambridge’s HE+ initiative. The HE+ initiative allows Year 12 students to gain access to additional learning resources, as well as lectures and guidance sessions run by University of Cambridge, in order to improve access to top universities.
