After the industrial revolution in the 19th century, urbanization has brought serious public health problems, leading to the tragic loss of many frontline medical workers. Epsom College was therefore established with the support of the Royal Family, to take care of these orphans and nurture more heathcare workers, which has literally turned the school into a cradle of British medical staff. Today, while students pursue a wide range of academic interests, there are still a good number of graduates progressing onto medicine, pharmacy and other medical related subjects. Epsom College students consistently perform well in public examinations. In 2026, the overall A*-B rate in A-levels was an impressive 95%, making it the strongest cohort ever! In recent years, the most popular university destinations included Durham University, Exeter, Bath, University College London (UCL) and Imperial College London. Notable alumni include Tony Fernandes (Founder of AirAsia), Charles Felix Harris (former Vice-Chancellor of the University of London), Anthony McCowan (former Lord Justice of Appeal) and many more! Competition for places is extremely fierce. Prospective families should start dealing with their application 1-3 years in advance to secure a place.
