De Montfort University (Fashion Design)

Situated in the city centre of the midlands city Leicester, De Montfort University has a strong reputation in Art & Design as well as Architecture. Its School of Design offers a range of finely defined undergraduate programmes in footwear, fashion buying, furniture design, in addition to other niche programmes such as Arts & Festivals Management and some dance and performing arts programmes. De Montfort is very successful in supporting graduate start-ups and is one of the 20 most successful universities in that aspect. The University was attributed by the Economist as a crucial factor for the city’s impressive growth in business, which is now the fastest growing one in the UK, together with London. Notable alumni include many British designers, artists and musicians, as well as world-famous architect Ken Shuttleworth, who penned the design of Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok Airport and the HSBC Tower.

Mrs Buddy Penfold, Senior Lecturer of Fashion Design, will attend the event. She will be happy to meet with students and parents individually to answer questions related to her discipline such as course content, career prospects and more! Students with their portfolio are welcome to meet with Mrs Buddy Penfold for portfolio assessment.
