De Montfort University (Faculty of Health & Life Sciences)

Situated in the city centre of the midlands city Leicester, De Montfort University has a strong reputation in Art & Design as well as Architecture. The Leicester School of Pharmacy has taught the subject for more than 100 years. In addition to its MPharm programmes for future pharmacists, the School also offers a degree in Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic Science that comes with a more applied and everyday focus than other Pharmacology programmes, making it a very good option for science students who have a strong interest in personal care products.

De Montfort is very successful in supporting graduate start-ups and is one of the 20 most successful universities in that aspect. The University was attributed by the Economist as a crucial factor for the city’s impressive growth in business, which is now the fastest growing one in the UK, together with London. Notable alumni include many British designers, artists and musicians, as well as world-famous architect Ken Shuttleworth, who penned the design of Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok Airport and the HSBC Tower.
