Claremont School is an “all-through” boarding and day school in southeast England, adjacent to the seaside town of Hastings, which is around 80 minutes away from central London. With a history that can be traced back to 1925, Claremont School was originally a day prep school, where there were 350 students back in 2004. With improving reputation and the opening of the Senior School in 2011, today Claremont School is a boarding school with over 600 students!
It’s rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted inspection reports in 2012, 2016 and 2019. In 2021, the school received another “Outstanding” rating in a new inspection that focused on boarding provision, while also winning the Independent School of the Year for the Performing Arts. Typically around 95% of prep students would continue their education in the senior school. These are all testimonies to the quality of education in Claremont School!
Claremont School’s first A-levels cohort took their exams in 2016. A*-B rates in A-levels were between 65% to 81% in 2020 and 2021, while an impressive 73% of entries achieved A*-B in 2022, with a student making it to University of Cambridge, studying Vet Medicine! According to statistics for 2018-2020, every year there is usually at least one successful Medical School student and a good number getting into art schools, including Brighton Rose Bruford Drama School, Norwich University of the Arts, University for the Creative Arts, studying Drama, Photography, Film Production, etc.
