Christ’s Hospital is historical school with over 460 years of history and a gigantic 1200-acre campus in rural area in West Sussex. It marked history as Britain’s first Bluecoat School – nicknamed for its iconic Blue Coat uniform, which is one of the first school uniforms in the world and is still worn by students today! Academic standard is high and Christ’s Hospital is well known for its music – The CH Band (a marching band) accompanies the School on its annual parade through the City of London on St Matthew’s Day and takes part in the Lord Mayor’s Show each autumn. The band also performed in events that celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday! From the 2021/22 academic year, only GCE A-levels will be offered in sixth form. In the three years before the pandemic (2017-2019), A*-B rates in GCE A-levels ranged from 61% to 77%, while in 2023 the A*-B rate was at 67%. The class of 2022 saw eight Oxford students and a total of six Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine students. Other popular university destinations include Bristol, Newcastle, Manchester, Warwick, etc.
