Chigwell School is a school with excellent academic reputation that comes with a 100-acre campus within reach of the London tube network (Zone 4). To local British students Chigwell School is an all-through school, while to international students it means extremely fierce competition for places as boarding provision is only available in sixth form, which only offers about 30 boarding places. Chigwell’s prep school and senior school educate about 900 students, with about 600 in the senior school. Its academic records are excellent. Academic standard is excellent and are consistently ranked with the top 100-150 among independent schools in the UK. In the past two years (2024-2025), A*-B rates in GCE A-levels were between 71% to 85%. The class of 2023 and 2024 saw at least six of its graduates making it to University of Cambridge and University of Oxford (including one studying PPE) and 11 progressing to study Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine, while other typical destinations include University of Nottingham, Loughborough, Warwick and alike!
