Cheshire College South & West

Cheshire College South & West is a state further education college in the Midlands, formed in 2017 after the merger between South Cheshire College and West Cheshire College. The College now offers GCE A-levels (mainly taught in the original Crewe Campus of South Cheshire College), as well as vocational training from National Diploma up to undergraduate level.

As state colleges operate with government funding, they are usually restricted from being too selective when setting their entry requirement, to make sure the education needs of local students of different abilities and from different background are well taken care of. In 2017, about 220 students from South Cheshire College sat the GCE A-level examinations, with 82% returning with A*-C grades and over half with A*-B grades; a total of 43 graduates were admitted by one of Russell Group research-intensive universities.
