Admissions Talk: Cardiff Sixth Form College

Cardiff Sixth Form College is a top independent sixth form college with a main campus in Cardiff – the capital of Wales – and a new campus in Cambridge which is established in the 2022/23 academic year. It has been the top school in the UK for A-level results over the past 14 years, occupying the no. 1 spot in league tables for 13 times during the period. Every year about 30% of graduates would progress to University of Oxford, Cambridge or medical schools!

2025 is no exception, in which the College saw 94% of exam entries graded at A*-A and 99.6% at A*-B – and a record-breaking A* rate at 68.2%! Of 154 students in the class of 2025, 50 graduates gained entry into medical schools, studying Medicine and Dentistry. Eight graduates continued their education in Oxford and Cambridge University, while 44 made it to UCL, LSE and Imperial College and – which is another record broken – 33 were admitted by University of Hong Kong ^{(including 14 Medicine and 2 Dentistry students)}, Chinese University of Hong Kong ^{(including eight Medicine students)}, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Applicants should be made aware that Cardiff Sixth Form College maintains a high standard for progression to Year 13 (A2).

In addition to these, Henrietta will also come with the latest updates about their new campus in Cardiff Bay, which will complete in the 2026/27 academic year!
