Canford School is a boarding school in the suburb of the coastal city of Bournemouth, in South West England. With slightly over 90 years of history, the School has established a prestigious reputation and is very popular with local families. With a strong boarding tradition, Canford School is known for its performance in public exams, as well as its outstanding achievement in music, the arts, drama and sports. The School has introduced a number of Cambridge Pre-U subjects to supplement the GCE A-levels qualifications, making sure its sixth form curriculum is challenging for the brightest students. In the past five years (2015-2019), A*-B rates in GCE A-levels ranged from 75% to 84%, placing it comfortably within the top 100-150 independent schools in the UK. In the past ten years, Canford School also saw as many as 90 graduates getting into University of Cambridge and University of Oxford.
