Located in the suburb of London and just about half an hour away from Heathrow Airport, Brunel University is ranked the 60th in the UK and has a strong focus on employability. Many of its programmes are sandwich programmes, providing a year of full time work placement opportunities for students. In addition to that, skills modules (such as oral communication and computer literacy) are usually included in a degree. In recent years, the University has expanded its academic territories to include new programmes such as creative writing, sonic arts, aviation engineering, pilot studies as well as game design.
