Bede’s School

Bede’s School is a unique all-through boarding school near the coastal town of Eastbourne. Its 80-acre spacious and picturesque campus even comes with its very own Bede’s Zoo ^{(which is home to 70+ species, including Madagascar-native ring-trailed lemurs!)}. Currently there are about 800 students in Bede’s School and many excel in academic, performing arts and sports. Public exam results are consistently excellent, with an overall A*-B rate of 78% in A-levels 2024. Many graduates would study performing arts, visual arts, sports and animal science in university. Typically destinations include University of Bath, Loughborough, Manchester and Reading.

Bede’s School enjoys an excellent reputation for performing arts education and is particularly known for dance! Its in-house Bede’s Legat Dance Academy has a strong focus on Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz, while also teaches Tap and Musical Theatre. Budding dancers can receive professional dance training from primary education stages and it’s a very good option for those who want to develop professionally as a dancer. Notable alumni include British theatre director Jamie Lloyd, as well as a good number of professional cricketers.
