Bath Spa University is a university in the historical city of Bath that focuses on liberal arts and the art & design subjects. While only being granted full university status in 2005, history of Bath Spa University can be traced back to over 170 years ago when it was first established as a creative art college. Building on that tradition, Bath Spa University now offers a wide range of creative subjects in art & design and in recent years the University is expanding its provision in creative computing subjects that cover gaming, animation and software development. Other than that, Bath Spa University offer a range of combined degree options, which can be a really good option for students with diverse interest. Notable alumni include Anita Roddick, founder of the Body Shop, and Howard Hodgkin, award-winning British abstract painter.
