Adcote School for Girls is the only girls’ boarding school in Shrewsbury – a town in the mid-west part of England and about a 1-hour ride away from UK’s second largest city Birmingham. The School occupies a Grade I historic building. Currently there are about 200 students and the majority of them come from local families with professional, farming and business background. As a whole about 34% of students are boarders.

In addition to standard A-level curriculum, sixth form students have the options to take a CMI Level 3 Certificate in Management & Leadership, as well as the extended project qualification (EPQ), to enrich their profile for university application – probably most beneficial for business school applicants! Academically, the overall A*-B rate in GCE A-levels is at 70% in 2023. About 65% of graduates continued their education in research-intensive universities under the Russell Group (including Imperial College, King’s College London, University of Manchester, etc), with 47% of them studying STEM subjects!
