As entry into the Law degree in Durham University is highly competitive, even students from Durham’s dedicated University Foundation programmes in Durham ISC must take the LNAT. Durham ISC therefore has a specialist LNAT module to help its students prepare for the test – which contributed to the fact that in the class of 2025, 97.8% of students who intended to study law successfully progressed to Durham University’s Law degree (LLB (Hons) Law)! Gary Henderson (Deputy Centre Director of Durham ISC) will share their proven test preparation strategies, to help students tackle the LNAT exam effectively.

In this final section, Gary Henderson (Deputy Centre Director of Durham ISC) will share with students the common teaching modules of law degree in the UK, as well as provide an overview of the course structure, progression requirements, the “Guaranteed Progression” mechanism in their University Foundation. In Durham ISC, students will study a module on the Law of Tort & Contract, giving them an early start in preparing for their future legal studies!
