UK University & Pathways Seminar This Week’s Special Topic: Relocation Tips for BNO Families: How to provide a soft landing on education for your kids?
What’s so good about studying in the UK? In addition to small class-size, excellent provision of facilities and more flexible teaching methods, what makes the As in UK student’s report cards? What options do students from the new 334 education system have, to continue their studies in the UK? What makes up the best preparation for progression to the finest universities? How does British boarding school experience benefit students when they apply to universities in Hong Kong? In the seminar, our education consultants will answer all these questions by sharing their own experience in the UK. The seminar is suitable for parents of primary and secondary school students and students themselves, who are interested in studying in the UK.

After the first section of our Boarding School Seminar, students and parents will have a general idea about the education system in the UK. Now this Special section will bring you a real school as further reference!
In today’s Special section, Mark London (Head of Marketing) from ACS International Schools will discuss the education choices of migrant and expat families, sharing their experience helping these families settle smoothly in the UK:
- Relocation Tips for BNO Families: How to provide a soft landing on education for your kids?
ACS International Schools is London’s largest international schools and currently educates 2,400 students across its three London campuses. With a majority of students from migrant and expat families from the US and Europe, relocation events is a regular feature in ACS’s event calendar! Recently they’ve even invited experts from Deloitte’s Global Employer Services group – together with existing parents, they discussed their experience and the adjustment they and their children had to make in the relocation process.
Curriculum is largely based on the International Baccalaureate (IB), offering the IBDP, as well as the US High School Diploma and the Advanced Placement (AP) programmes in Sixth Form. In the past four years (2018-2021), ACS Cobham International School‘s average scores in IBDP ranged from 32 to 37, while the class of 2021saw 49% of graduates achieving 38 points or above!

The seminar will also be delivered via Zoom. Students and parents can watch the seminar in our office and meet with our education consultants right after the seminar. Alternatively, you can also choose to watch the seminar in the comfort of your own home.
