In the Seminar, Priscilla Harries (Professor of Occupational Therapy & Head of Department of Clinical Sciences) and John Cossar (Senior Lecturer & Divisional Lead of Physiotherapy) from Brunel University London will introduce their Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy programmes, covering areas such as course structure & content, facilities, entry requirement, mode of assessment, professional qualifications, graduate prospect and more!

  • What’s Physiotherapy? What’s Occupational Therapy?
  • What are their differences? How do Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist work together when they work with patients?
  • What attributes does the University look for in a student? Where should applicants pay extra attention when they prepare for their applications and interviews?
  • Course Introduction: At the end of the Seminar, both lecturers will briefly introduce their programmes – BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy – covering areas such as course structure, professional qualifications, placement oppportunities, etc.

Professional Qualification:
Academic requirement of the professional qualifications can be fulfilled via completing a recognized Undergraduate degree and a two-year Postgraduate (Conversion) degree

If students plan to return to Hong Kong and practise as a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist, they must first obtain respective registered status in the UK before they are eligible to register in Hong Kong.

The BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in Brunel University London is approved by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), which therefore qualifies graduates for registration with HCPC as a physiotherapist. The BSc (Hons) is also one of the Quotable Qualifications of Physiotherapists Board of Hong Kong. Graduates of the Programme therefore are eligible to register with the Physiotherapists Board of Hong Kong, after registration in the UK.

The BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy in Brunel University London is approved by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT), which therefore qualifies graduates for registration with HCPC as an occupational therapist. Graduates of the Programme therefore are eligible to register with the Occupational Therapists Board of Hong Kong, after registration in the UK and fulfilling relevant English language requirements.
