British Council × University of Bristol “Scholarships for Women 2026″ Fully-funded Scholarships
Created by British Council and supported by Sir Tang Shiu Kin Education Trust, the third cohort of “Scholarships for Women” will once again fully sponsor four women from Hong Kong, to pursue a master’s degree in University of Bristol in the 2026/27 academic year!
This year, the “Scholarships for Women” scheme will cover more postgraduate programmes than ever! These include a range of programmes about the pressing issue of Climate Change, with focuses on policy advocacy, data analytics, as well as issues at a more societal and cultural level. Apart from that, the Scholarships scheme also covers disciplines like Law, Economics, Global Business, Technology & Engineering and Education, which hopefully will work with more graduates!

What will be covered by the Scholarship?
The “Scholarships for Women” scholarships programme covers the full costs associated with your study, including:
- Full tuition fees
- Up to 12-month monthly stipend at the rate of £1,732 per month to cover costs of living, including accommodation
- IELTS exam fee
- Return economy class travel from Hong Kong to UK
- Study-related costs, such as essential travel, materials, equipment and thesis printing
- Student visa, and insurance / NHS surcharge
- Reasonable adjustments costs for scholars with disabilities
Students will promise to return to Hong Kong for a minimum of two years after their scholarship has ended – to make an impact in Hong Kong with what you’ve learned and experienced in this special year in the UK!
Application & Deadline
Deadline of applications for the Scholarships is Thursday 30th April 2026. Students are required to submit their course application, their scholarship application and other required documents by the deadline.
