University of Sunderland 位於英格蘭北部沿海城市 Sunderland，距離北部城市 Newcastle 約 30 分鐘車程，是因為 1992 年英國教育法案而升格成為大學的理工學院之一，入學門檻不高，同時屬現時學費及生活費最相宜的選擇之一。藥劑系是其表現較突出的學系，另外物理治療、職業治療及護理亦接受國際學生申請。受惠於 Sunderland 作為英國汽車製造業基地的優勢，大學在汽車工程領域上與業界的合作緊密，工程系在大學學徒制課程（Degree Apprenticeship）及短期專業進修課程方面與日產汽車（Nissan）有不少合作。
