University of Salford 位於英格蘭北部大城市曼徹斯特（Manchester），於 1967 年升格為大學，其主校園位於曼徹斯特 Salford 區，距離市中心僅 5-10 分鐘巴士車程，另於曼徹斯特傳媒機構集中地 MediaCityUK 設有校舍，為傳理系提供達業界標準的設備，並增加學生參與 BBC、Sky、ITV 等傳媒機構實習的機會。醫療相關學科是 University of Salford 規模最大的學科，學系選擇包括物理治療、職業治療、護理系、放射學、足病治療等。物理治療系自 1991 年起就與專業足球員學會（Professional Footballers’ Association）設有聯繫，不少現役及退役球員會於 University of Salford 修讀物理治療系課程！
