世界排名 130（THE 17/18），英國排名第 14，學術成就非常出色的英國大學，屬英國最佳十位的學系達 22 個之多，社會學、地理及商科均出色。商學院過去一直是不少本港學生的選擇，會計及金融於全英排名第 11，商業研究排名第 15，經濟學排名第 18。知名畢業生包括 Harry Potter 作者 JK Rowling 及 Radiohead 樂隊主音 Thom Yorke 等。
