世界排名 103（QS 2027），英國排名 35，倫敦大學（University of London）旗下大學，同時是羅素大學集團（Russell Group）成員大學，Queen Mary, University of London 的學術研究水平獲高度肯定，牙科及醫科分別在世界排名第 12 及第 62 位，法律系及英國語文及文學系亦位列世界排名首 40 位（QS 2026）。舊生及教職員當中共有九位諾貝爾獎得主，香港中文大學前校長、諾貝爾物理學獎得主高錕亦曾於 Queen Mary, University of London 電子工程及電腦科學部進行研究。

在學士階段課程選擇上，Queen Mary 法律學院在三年制常規法律系課程外，設有四年制連實習年的法律系課程（LLB (Hons) Law in Practice），學生將於學位課程三年級到 Reed Smith LLP、Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP 或 Simmons & Simmons LLP 等律師事務所進行為期約八個月有薪實習。醫科方面，醫學院 Barts & The London School of Medicine & Dentistry 的歷史可追溯至 1785 年之久，是英格蘭地區歷史最悠久的醫學院之一，在英國及地中海島國 Malta 開辦的醫科課程（MBBS）均接受國際學生報讀。
