英國大學及學系排名
泰晤士報（Times）的英國大學排名，是不少學生和家長的重要選校參考。排名以學生滿意度、學術研究水平、入學要求、學生與教職員比例及畢業生前景等幾方面評定各所英國大學的優劣。2014 年度的英國大學排名裡，以下幾點特別值得學生及家長留意：
- 劍橋大學取代牛津大學成為排名第一的英國大學。
- 在最佳十名大學裡，University of Bath 及 University of Exeter 均較去年上升兩位，分別排名第七和第九，排名較 University College London (UCL) 及 University of Warwick 為高。
- 多所設有校內大學預備班（On-Campus Foundation）的大學升幅顯著，打入最佳二十名，包括 University of Surrey、University of East Anglia、Newcastle University、University of Sheffield。
- 物理治療（Physiotherapy）、放射學（Radiography）設獨立學科排名，有別於過往將兩科包括在醫療相關學科的做法，更能反映大學在個別範疇的優勢。

學系排名的重要性
由於整體排名以英國大學所有科目的整體表現為根據，有時候未必反映部份大學在個別學科上的優勢。部份大學或在個別範疇上有領先地位，卻不一定在整體大學排名中擁有較前位置。對於已經確定心儀科目的學生，學系排名會更具參考價值。在新興學科（如酒店管理等）中，不少在整體大學排名裡排名較後的英國大學會佔較前位置，學生選校時宜多加注意。
