Ranked the 272nd globally (QS 2024) and the 34th in the UK, the University of Leicester is famous for its achievements in Forensic Science, Archaeology, Media & Communication, Engineering and Space Technology. It also provides the flexibility with Major/Minor degree options, which enables students to concentrate on a subject area as the major subject, while broadening knowledge with a Minor subject. The Department of Physics and Astronomy has participated in the PanCam research project under European Space Agency (ESA)’s ExoMars programme.
